Graphite products are widely applied in the aluminum industry:
Aluminum Electrolysis Process
• Graphite anodes: These are core consumables in electrolytic cells, and waste graphite anodes are generated after use.
• Graphitized cathodes and graphite-based cathodes: Used as lining materials for constructing aluminum electrolytic cells, they constitute the main conductive materials for the cell cathodes. "Graphitized cathodes" offer superior electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance, enabling higher anode current densities, increased production capacity, and extended service life.
Casting Process
• Graphite molds: Due to their high-temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, excellent chemical stability, and self-lubricating properties, they are utilized in continuous and semi-continuous casting, as well as pressure casting of non-ferrous metals, enhancing casting speed, yield rates, and product quality.
• Graphite rotors: Employed for degassing and slag removal during aluminum alloy melting, these rotors fragment inert gases into micron-sized bubbles through high-speed rotation, adsorbing hydrogen and capturing oxide slag to improve the mechanical properties of the final products.
